We welcome you to discover how William Black Lodge can serve your group needs.  The lodge is the perfect place to bring your group of up to 50+ individuals for a retreat, training, strategic planning, leadership development or other event.

Especially on weekdays and in the off-season groups may have the whole lodge to themselves, giving guests the sense that they are meeting in their own personal conference center. With no distractions, those attending are able to immerse themselves in group activities and educational sessions or simply renew and refresh their sense of spirit.

Our quiet mountain setting invites reflection and meditation, with opportunities for bonding activities such as hikes and other outdoor activities.   Just walking the trails or roads through Montreat is enlivening of spirit.   Gathering together in the lobby or on the front porch and sharing conversations with friends old and new is renewing to one's soul.

We book group meetings and gatherings year-round. Most groups schedule retreats with us midweek, but full weeks are also available. You can rent the entire lodge or reserve a section of the lodge for your group.
In addition to lodging and dining facilities, the William Black Lodge also includes a meeting room that will accommodate up to 65 individuals. We are known for our hospitality and our flexibility. If your group has a special dietary need or other special request, just ask. We’ll accommodate you if at all possible.
