• Welcome to Montreat, NC, home of the William Black Lodge and Retreat Center.

  • You will travel about one mile from the Montreat gate to our lodge and retreat center, which sits on a hill above Lake Susan.

  • Guests enjoy relaxing on our rocking chair front porch.

  • Guests enjoy gathering around the fireplace, constructed of indigenous mica stone, in our rustic living room furnished in Arts and Crafts era pieces.

  • Beautiful, hand-crafted stained glass windows add warmth and serenity to meetings in the William Henry Belk Conference Center, which can be set up auditorium-style for groups of up to 85.
