Following Helene, William Black Lodge closed for repair, remediation, and renovation.
We have good new!
As of February 14, 2025 William Black Lodge has re-opened and is hosting groups and guests. The lodge has guest rooms available on our 2nd and 3rd Floors. Our lobby, dining room, and office have been renovated and are available for our guests. Renovations continue in our 1st floor guest rooms and chapel/meeting rooms. These renovations will be complete after Easter and ready for the summer season and into the fall!

William Black Lodge is pleased to announce new shared operations/management with South Carolina Inn in Montreat.
The staff of WBL began managing SC Inn November 1, 2024. William Black Lodge is now operating both SC Inn and WBL.

Chef Greg Kilpatrick has joined the staff as foodservice manager and is preparing a wonderful new menu for our groups and guests.
Brittany Ledford has returned after 2 years raising her son and daughter to serve as our Guest Services Manager.
We are so pleased to have these wonderful folks join and re-join the management team!

Many of you helped make all this good news possible. Following the storm, many of you made contributions in support of William Black Lodge. Because of this support, we were able to retain our staff team, continue operations, re-open SC Inn,
and now renovate and re-open William Black Lodge.
